Whoa, easy there Mary ...

MARILYN MANSONShock rocker MARILYN MANSON fears his music will be held responsible for the Virginia Tech massacre on Monday (16Apr07), just like it was after the Columbine shootings in April 1999. The ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR hitmaker worries his music is going to come into question again as people look for someone to blame for the drama that unfolded on campus at the university on Monday, leaving 33 people dead. In a BBC radio interview last night (18Apr07), Manson said, "I was watching it in the same way that I can remember watching the TV when Columbine happened, and just seeing it take place as any other person would. "Then suddenly Columbine happened and my name got brought into it and I wouldn't be surprised if my name got brought into this." Back in 1999, family groups claimed Manson's dark and brooding music encouraged student fans to launch a killing spree at Columbine High School in Colorado. Read the rest here.

Not to mention other parents that will once again blame this tragedy on video games. We might as well blame the news altogether because all we talk about these days are violence and crime...

at this rate we might as well blame everyone except the actually killer, I mean people tend to blame everyone but the person who actually commited the act. Hey maybe he was influenced, but we all make our own decions...blaming other sources only distorts the actual extent of the matter and escapes the actually problem.

I Agree, Seriously music does not affect that much on people. There are worse music out there that has way more violent lyrical themes, but we don't see fans running on the street shooting people. For instance take "black metal" music, where lyrics have contents of satanism, we don't see black metal fans killing other people. Blaming music is wrong, like theran said look at the actualy problem, clearly the shooter had problems.
